Location: Knowsley

Shift: Day Shift, Monday to Saturday, 07:30 – 20:00

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £18.02 per hour + Qualification-based Enhancement (Up to £300/month)

Holiday: 23 Days + Bank Holidays

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an expert for all service and assembly work, ensuring the highest quality and efficiency to enhance brand reputation for reliability and economy.
  • Conduct defined retrofitting of accessories and preservation work.
  • Assist Systems Technicians in extensive repair jobs on the overall system.
  • Perform all services in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and scheduled service processes.
  • Conduct visual inspections, adjustments, fluid changes, and equipment replacements (e.g., brake linings).
  • Identify deviations and unusual wear occurrences, and communicate necessary expansions/feedback to customers.
  • Reset maintenance systems.
  • Clean and maintain customer vehicles.
  • Independently carry out basic repairs of worn parts (e.g., muffler replacement, mirror replacements, tire balancing, etc.).
  • Perform defined, and at times, more extensive assembly and repair work in collaboration with, or under the guidance of, Systems Technicians (e.g., major assembly replacements, suspension strut placements, etc.).
  • Retrofit and initiate accessories and detachable body components.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the commercial vehicle industry.
  • Full City & Guilds qualifications as a certified automotive service technician (essential).
  • Valid UK Driving Licence (essential).
  • HGV Licence (desired).
